heavy downpour caused flooding in a number of areas in downtown Jakarta on Monday, including one that affected the inner-city toll road in Cawang, East Jakarta.
"One section of the toll road, connecting Pancoran and Cawang is inundated. Currently, road workers are pumping the water out at kilometer 4," Jakarta Police spokesman Comr. Purwanta said as quoted by kompas.com.

Purwanta also said that inundation also happened in a number of locations including Jl. Hang Lekir in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta which caused a congestion in the area.
"The water rises quite high in the neighborhood around Moestopo University," he said.
The Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) also reported that inundation also took place in Tebet and Pancoran, in South Jakarta. On Jl. MT Haryono, the agency said that water rises to at least half a meter high.

In the Cikoko neighborhood, near Pancoran, locals reported that inundation reach a meter in height.
