A five-year old girl in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, was allegedly molested by a man who then gave her Rp 800 (6 US cents).

The victim was reportedly playing with her cousin when the suspect, identified as AWS, 40, asked the victim into his nearby house.

“The suspect undressed and molested the victim,” South Jakarta Police criminal unit head Adj. Sr. Comr. Bismo Teguh Prakoso said on Wednesday, as quoted by tempo.co.

The suspect then reportedly gave the victim three coins: Rp 500, Rp 200 and Rp 100. He warned the girl not to tell anyone about the molestation.

Police arrested AWS after the victim’s mother had reported the incident, Bismo added. (agn)
