ational Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Setyo Wasisto has affirmed that the collapse of a mezzanine at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) was not triggered by an explosion.
"As of right now, we can assure that it was not caused by an explosive or bomb," Setyo told reporters at the IDX compound on Monday.
He added that the collapsed mezzanine had hit the ground of the building's lobby.
At least 72 people suffered injuries as a result of the incident, which occurred during lunch time.
The victims are currently being treated at four separate hospitals, namely Pertamina Hospital, Mintoharjo Navy Hospital, MRCCC Siloam Hospitals and Jakarta Hospital. (fac)
