landslide blocked an underpass on Jl. Perimeter Selatan, near Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, following a downpour that hit the area on Monday. A car was reportedly trapped underneath the debris.
Yado Yarismano, spokesperson for PT Angkasa Pura II, which operates the airport, confirmed the incident that occurred at around 5 p.m., saying that a team had been deployed to inspect and clear the scene.
"We are still clearing the area using heavy equipment," Yado said on Monday night, adding that the operation of the airport train connecting the airport to downtown Jakarta, was temporarily halted.
