he Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers Association (Gaikindo) is targeting 3,000 buyers at its Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) held at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC) from March 1 to 4.
The business-to-business (B2B) expo will display commercial vehicles of 111 brands for businesses engaged in transportation, logistics, construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, mining, cattle breeding, forestry, retail and wholesale.
Sales of trucks and double cabin vehicles rose 45 percent last year.
"The development of infrastructure projects, logistics, distribution and trade in Indonesia is pushing vehicle producers to keep innovating and fulfilling current demand," said Gaikindo chairman Yohannes Nangoi on Monday.
Brands joining the expo include Daihatsu, DFSK, Hino, Isuzu, Iveco, Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB) and UD Truck.
There will be at least six new models launched by Isuzu, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki, Volvo and Mitsubishi FUSO.
Buyers are encouraged to pre-register on the official website of GIICOMVEC 2018 by Feb. 26 for priority entrance to the event. (bbn)
