Putting it briefly: Liverpool legends to visit Jakarta

F

ormer manager Roy Evans and a number of legends of English’s Liverpool soccer club are scheduled to visit Jakarta on March 9 to 11 as part of the LFC World tour, an event presented by Standard Chartered.

Evans took over from Graeme Souness in 1994 when the team was in rapid free-fall. In his first full season (1994-1995), Liverpool finished 4th with 74 points.

Alongside Evans, the visiting legends are Patrik Berger, Gary McAllister and Jason McAteer.

Berger played in 148 matches and scored 28 goals throughout his time at the club between 1996 and 2003. In The Sunday Times on Feb. 8, 2004, Berger mentioned the day he got signed for Liverpool as the “greatest day in my football life”.

The LFC World will be held at the central atrium of Taman Anggrek Mall in West Jakarta, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

The LFC World is a free event and open to public. The event features, among other things, a mock-up of the club’s changing room at Anfield Stadium, displaying jerseys of Liverpool stars, such as Roberto Firmino, Mohamad Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mané.

It will also showcase a virtual reality tour of Anfield Stadium, allowing visitors to experience a digital version of the venue.

The event will also throw “A Trip to Anfield” lucky draw for a family. For further information on LFC World in Jakarta, visit liverpoolfc.com.
