he construction progress of Greater Jakarta’s light rail transit (the Greater Jakarta LRT) or LRT Jabodetabek has reached 35 percent, said state-owned construction company PT Adhi Karya president director Budi Harto in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said his company was now waiting for the second payment because it had spent Rp 7.7 trillion (US$539 million) from the total project value of Rp 29.9 trillion.
In the first payment, he added, his company had received Rp 3.42 trillion. “We hope we will receive a payment of between Rp 2 trillion and Rp 3 trillion within the next three months,” Budi said, as reported by kontan.com.
He expressed the hope that state-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) would process the payment soon because Adhi Karya had allocated the fund for capital expenditure and to pay debt.
There are two LRT lines passing through Jakarta, namely the Greater Jakarta LRT and the Jakarta LRT.
The Greater Jakarta LRT will depart from Bogor, Bekasi, Cawang, Kuningan and stop at Sudirman station, while the Jakarta LRT will depart from Kelapa Gading, Rawamangun, Manggarai and also stop at Sudirman station. (bbn)
