T Indonesia International Expo, an organizer of Pekan Raya Indonesia, an annual trade expo, has set a target to welcome 1 million visitors to this year's expo at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Tangerang, Banten, from Sept. 27 to Oct. 7.

Last year, a similar event was attended by 630 visitors, with a total transaction value reaching Rp 600 billion.

Indonesia International Expo president director Ryan Adrian said on Thursday that although this year's 11-day expo was shorter than last year’s 18-day event, he hoped this year would see more daily visitors.

With 600 tenants with more than 2,000 trademarks, the event will see the participation of the property, automotive, fashion, food and beverage, and electronics sectors as well as creative businesses and small and medium enterprises.

Ryan said around 30 coffee exhibitors grouped under the Association of Indonesian Coffee Exporters (AEKI) would display their products during the event, while some 80 clothes exhibitors would display both local and imported products.

The organizers will also present the International Indie Music Festival (IIMF), which will feature artists, including Danilla, Efek Rumah Kaca, Mocca, Fourtwnty and groups from foreign countries, kontan.co.id reported on Thursday. (bbn)
