Those interested in exploring the archipelago on a cruise may consider the options provided by state-owned ship operator Pelni.
The company recently announced new dates for its cruise packages that include destinations like Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara and Derawan in East Kalimantan.
As reported by kompas.com on Monday, the Labuan Bajo cruise, which explores Komodo National Park, Kanawa Island, Pink Beach and Cunca Rami Waterfall using the KM Tilongkabila ship, is now slated for Dec. 1-4. Meanwhile, the Derawan cruise, which is scheduled to include a trip to Derawan and Maratua islands on the KM Bukit Siguntang ship, is scheduled for Dec. 9-11.

Meanwhile, other Pelni cruise packages to Raja Ampat in West Papua, Wakatobi in South East Sulawesi, and Banda Neira in Maluku will stick to the initial schedule on Oct. 30 - Nov. 2, Nov. 12-15, and Dec 4-7, respectively.
All five destinations are part of the operator's 2016 maritime tourism program dubbed "Shippirience: New way to explore Wonderful Indonesia". The packages are offered at a starting price of Rp 3 (US$230) to Rp 9 million, excluding diving set and flight fares but will include destinations along the cruise’s course, onboard cabins and meals.
