hose who seek to spend their New Year’s Eve in style outside Jakarta may want to consider these cities that are set to host various festive events.

Bali

Located in the Island of Gods, which is in Legian, Padma Resorts Legian has prepared attractive events to lure guests during New Year's Eve. Those who are interested in indulging in international and Indonesian cuisine can come to Donbiu Restaurant. With starting prices of Rp 1,800,000 for adults and Rp 900,000 for children, dinner begins at 7 p.m. and lasts until 9:30 p.m. In the mood to have a Japanese buffet dinner instead? You can visit Tenkai Japanese Restaurant, which will host Funky Zen NYE Dinner with a starting price of Rp 400,000. As the cherry on top, guests can celebrate New Year’s Eve with assortment of dessert at the Plumeria Grand Ballroom while being entertained by DeCoustic Band and Broadway Acts or rejoice in the resort’s carnival style Coastline NYE Party at their S.K.A.I. Beach Club with music by its resident DJs.

Starting at 7:30 p.m., Tugu Hotel in Canggu is hosting the Night Market Festival. Guests will enjoy local dishes while watching the performance of Kecak Dance that narrates the epic Hindu story of Ramayana. As the countdown approaches, there will be a bonfire accompanied by a live band performance.

Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara

Decorated as Pasar Malam (night market), Tugu Hotel Lombok invites guests to take part in their events, from mask performances to a bonfire beach party. The highlight of the event, however, will be the exotic Reog Ponorogo performance, a renowned, hundreds of years old annual festival from Ponorogo in East Java that involves a mythical battle between the king and the magical lion Singa Barong. Approaching midnight, visitors will be taken to the beach for a bonfire and fireworks.

Yogyakarta

After successfully adopting a New York style into their year-end party in 2015, this year, Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta is set to transform its Kasultanan Ballroom into the glimmering city Las Vegas for its "One Night in Vegas" party, which includes inviting guests to enter a tunnel of lights filled with paparazzi flashes and ending at a ticket booth. The venue’s foyer hall will also featue a playground for games, dart boards, roulette tables, tarot reading and fortune teller sessions, while the balcony will feature live music. Among the party’s special guests are Ari Lasso and Yura Yunita. The ticket price starts at Rp 750,000 including access to the show and finger food.

Solo, Central Java

Alila Solo hotel is slated to present performances from DEWI DEWI & HUSEIN for its New Year celebration. Prior to the entertainment, guests can join its New Year’s Eve gala dinner at the Grand Ballroom starting at 6 p.m., which is priced at Rp 588,000 per person. The countdown will take place at the hotel's rooftop bar AGRA with prices starting at Rp 288,000 per person including welcome drinks and canapes.

Karawang, West Java

Resinda Hotel Karawang will be holding a masquerade party featuring performances by Indonesian diva Ruth Sahanaya starting at 7 p.m. Prior to the countdown, guests will be invited to gather at the property's lagoon pool with a live DJ and fireworks as background. With starting prices of Rp 1 million, holders of Platinum Plus tickets can also expect to participate in a meet and greet session with Ruth.
