Long-haul airline Norwegian Air Shuttle has just announced plans to introduce a 13-hour flight from London to Singapore that will be the longest, ultra-low cost flight on the market.
ong-haul airline company Norwegian Air Shuttle has just announced plans to introduce a 13-hour flight from London to Singapore that will be the longest, ultra-low cost flight on the market.
Priced at just US$230 one-way, the flight will take passengers from London’s Gatwick Airport to Singapore’s Changi Airport and back, shuttled in a 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The Dreamliner can seat up to 344 people in the economy and premium economy cabins. For premium economy, prices begin at $893 for a one-way ticket.
Typically, the basic ticket does not include meals or luggage, while the premium ticket includes lounge access, more legroom, food and baggage.

The new flight will become the longest direct route offered by an ultra-low cost carrier.
The airline’s chief executive Bjorn Kjos told The Independent that “adding Singapore to our growing UK network will give passengers even more choice for affordable, quality travel to a range of global destinations.”
Norwegian Air Shuttle’s London-Singapore route is set to run four times a week and begin service on Sept. 28. (sul/kes)
