he Tourism Ministry in an effort to promote Tanjung Kelayang, Bangka Belitung, as a tourist destination recently held workshops to improve on human resources (SDM) in the industry.
On April 26-27, the ministry held bimtek (technical guidance) courses called Sapta Pesona and Sadar Wisata, which was attended by 60 tourism groups from Belitung and East Belitung.
Following the event, a workshop on the Indonesia Travel Xchange (ITX) digital platform was held from April 28-29. Forty homestay owners participated in the event.

On Dec. 22 , 2016, HAS Hanandjoeddin International Airport in Tanjungpandan was opened for international flights to accommodate travel to Belitung and its surrounding areas. (asw)
