Gintangan village has long been known as the center of bamboo crafts in Banyuwangi. Situated 20 kilometers from the south of the city center, the place has been supplying bamboo handicrafts for national demand since the 1980s. Some of the items were even exported internationally to countries like Japan, Brunei and Thailand.

Gintangan village head Rusdianah told Antara that the festival was also joined by 20 bamboo-related small and medium businesses. "Aside from marveling at the handicrafts, visitors could also purchase the items straightaway," she said. (vod/kes)
