total of nine yachts consisting of tourists from Switzerland, Australia and Canada among others that take part in Wonderful Indonesia Sail 2017 event arrived at Maourole Beach, Ende regency, East Nusa Tenggara on August 28.
They were welcomed with a gala dinner hosted by the locals, serving up traditional dishes such as ikan bakar cakalang (grilled skipjack tuna), cap cay cumi (stir-fried vegetables with squid) and sate ikan with lontong aregau (fish satay served with rice cakes). The yachters were also entertained by traditional dance and dewi padi opera performances by local youths.

“In Maulore, you can explore so many places in one day. This place has plenty of cultural and natural sites that can be explored,” said tourism ministry’s archipelago marketing development deputy for market data analysis, Sutarjo.
Sutarjo also mentioned a small island called Hopping Island that can be accessed from Maulore. This island the best place for tourists who want to do snorkeling. (asw)
