“Activities of the Lovina Festival 2017 will be centered at Kalibukbuk Beach and supported by Buleleng as part of efforts to improve its tourism,” said Culture and Tourism Agency head I Nyoman Sutrisna.
Themed "Enjoy the Difference", the opening event will feature a series of performances and activities, such as Baleganjur , Gebogan Parade, Gong Kebyar, Ki Barak Panji Sakti dance, bull race in Kaliasem village and wayang (shadow puppets) performance.
On the second day, the festival will host Yoga Asana Health & Beauty activity, handicraft and culinary exhibitions, dance performances and Sampi Gerubungan.
The next day will be filled with art and music performances, bonangan race and gong kebyar wanita Kalibukbuk Bondres.
Meanwhile, activities scheduled in the last day include Megangsing Parade, Keb
Lovina is a black sand beach that is known to be the place for watching common bottlenose dolphin swimming and jumping out of the ocean. Arriving here, visitors will be greeted with a five-meter dolphin statue located close to the entrance gate.

The best time to meet these mammals is early in the morning during sunrise.
The location of Lovina Festival 2017 itself will be 9 kilometers away from Singaraja and 80 km (three to four hours drive) from Denpasar.
From Denpasar, tourists need to take a mini bus from Ubing bus terminal in North Denpasar and go to Singaraja, which is 11 km from the eastern part of Lovina. The fare from Singaraja bus terminal to Lovina or the western part of the island is around Rp 30,000 (US$ 2.25).
If the starting point is from Ngruah Rai International Airport, tourists can hail a cab to Lovina. It takes at least four hours to get to Lovina and the taxi fare is around Rp 300,000. For a more affordable option, visitors can take a taxi only to the Denpasar bus terminal.
For those coming from Gilimanuk, the travel duration to Lovina is around four hours whilst from Ubud is around three hours, and visitors will still have to take a bus from Singaraja bus terminal. (kes)
