saka's Universal Studios Japan theme park has announced the lineup for its "Universal Cool Japan" program next year, featuring renowned Japanese anime and video games Final Fantasy, Detective Conan (also Case Closed), Monster Hunter, as well as Sailor Moon.

The theme park’s official announcement, available only on the Japanese page at the time of publishing, showcases images of anime and video game characters such as Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon and Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan, as well as Cloud Strife, the main protagonist from Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII.

The 4th edition of the "Universal Cool Japan" program, which runs through June 24, 2018, will feature Final Fantasy, Detective Conan and Monster Hunter in its Volume 1 series that opens on Jan. 19, while the Sailor Moon attraction will open for the program's spring season.

Held since 2015, "Universal Cool Japan" is an annual program that features Japanese entertainment brands that have gone global.

According to rocketnews24.com, previous editions of the program have allowed visitors to enter the realms of animes Neon Genesis Evangelion and Attack on Titan, and video game Resident Evil, as well as classic TV series Godzilla. (wir/asw)
