orontalo province is home to many interesting destinations, such as the Bongo village, a destination for religious tourism located in Batudaa Pantai district.

This place is known for its Tomini Bay and Walima event (Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW celebration).

On Oct. 16, the tourist destination welcomed representatives from 10 foreign countries who are part of Foreign Ministry Senior Diplomatic School (Sesparlu), which include  Myanmar, Australia, Mexico, China and Brazil.

“We choose places that have traditional values that we can introduce to the world,” said Foreign Ministry’s Sesparlu director Odo R.M. Manuhutu.

Odo hoped that traditional places like Bongo Village could be preserved as a tourist attraction.

Representative from Mexico, Eduardo Nino Avalos, was happy to come to Gorontalo, “The people here are friendly and welcoming,” he said during his speech at the IKM Expo in Maqna Hotel, Gorontalo. (kes)
