egendary rock band Slank’s vocalist, Kaka, called on his fans to attend the Pemuteran Bay Festival, which will be held from Dec.13 to 16 in Buleleng, Bali.
“Bali is safe. It’s a vast island and there are still a lot of places to visit safely,” Kaka said in a written statement on Friday, as reported by Antara News Agency.
The rock star posted his holiday activities in Buleleng, Bali, on his Instagram account @fishgod.
“This is a cool festival, highlighting a good theme. It’s rare that a festival encourages tourists to care for the environment,” he said, adding that Bali is still a safe destination to visit.

The Tourism Ministry’s deputy of archipelago marketing and development, Esthy Reko Astuti, said the effect of Mount Agung’s eruption is not to be exaggerated as Bali is safe.
“There is nothing to worry about. Bali is safe. The Pemuteran Bay Festival proves that. The eruption has subsided. Look at the tourists visiting the festival,” Esthy said.
Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said the festival was a strategic step to send out a message that Bali was still normal, safe and comfortable to be visited.
“Tourists need not worry. We have a commitment to give the best service for tourists, so enjoy your holiday in Bali,” he said. (asw)
