A hotel forged from snow and ice has opened for fans of "Game of Thrones" in Finland where winter is at its peak.

For a month earlier this fall, professional ice sculptors from Russia, Ukraine, Poland and Latvia turned about 20 million kilograms of snow and 350,000 kg of ice into a frozen village spanning an area of 20,000 square meters, which, this year, includes a GoT-themed hotel.

Located 200 km north of the Arctic Circle, the GoT-themed hotel was built in collaboration between Lapland Hotels SnowVillage and HBO Nordic and transports guests to the medieval world with impressive recreations of the Braavos Hall of Faces, an Ice Throne, dragon-shaped slide and White Walker demon, reports Condé Nast Traveler

Like the cut-throat world of GoT, the ice hotel is not for the meek, as guests must be brave enough to sleep in 23F (-5C) conditions.

Guests are given sleeping bags and morning cups of hot berry juice to warm up.

All 24 rooms and suites are unique, with their own GoT-themed ice sculptures and ice carvings.

Aside from the hotel, other activities and features of the SnowVillage include reindeer and husky rides, snowmobile safaris, ice movie theater, ice bar, and ice restaurant that serves up local fare like reindeer and arctic char.

SnowVillage in Kittila is open until April 4. Entry to the SnowVillage is €15, while room rates start at €165.
