resident Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has earned a reputation for continuously posting videos on his YouTube channel, allowing viewers to catch a glimpse of his activities.
During his short stint as a video blogger (vlogger), the President has also documented his trips across the archipelago.

Kuta Beach, Bali
On his vlog titled #JKWVLOG Bali Aman (Bali is Safe), Jokowi brings viewers to the crowded Kuta Beach in Bali.
“This afternoon, I’m on the Island of the Gods, Bali Island,” says the President, adding that Bali is safe.
The video also features Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, State Secretary Pratikno, Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, former presidential chief of staff Teten Masduki and Bali Governor I Made Mangku Pastika.
In addition to showcasing the beach, the video also features the President and ministers drinking coffee at Made’s Warung.

Raja Ampat, West Papua
On Dec. 26, Jokowi’s official YouTube channel posted a vlog titled #JKWVLOG Menjelajah Raja Ampat (Exploring Raja Ampat).
The video opens with beautiful views of Raja Ampat’s white sandy beach and crystal clear water.
In the video, Jokowi shares that Raja Ampat’s beautiful scenery made him want to revisit the island.
He also promotes Raja Ampat’s beautiful underwater scenery. However, he admits that he has yet to go diving in Raja Ampat, adding that he will look for an opportunity to return and dive in Raja Ampat.
Mandalika Beach, West Nusa Tenggara
Jokowi inaugurated Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) on Mandalika Beach, Central Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara, on Oct. 20.
As a part-time vlogger, the President took the opportunity to promote the beautiful beach on his vlog titled #JKWVLOG Indahnya Mandalika (The Beauty of Mandalika). Accompanied by West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Governor Zainul Majdi, Jokowi expresses how beautiful Mandalika is.
At the end of the vlog, the President writes that Indonesia has many beautiful places that are still unknown to international tourists, adding that the country does not only have Bali, but also Mandalika. (jes/asw)
