Dubai-based airline Emirates is set to launch a new Dubai-Bali-Auckland service starting June 14.

Claiming to be "the only year-round nonstop daily flight between Bali and Auckland", the service will use a Boeing 777-300ER offering eight first class seats, 42 business class seats and 304 economy class seats.

The airline currently offers two daily services between Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and Bali, providing only business and economy seats.

“We’re pleased to introduce additional capacity to serve the strong demand for travel to Bali, and to Auckland. We are confident that our year-round service between Auckland and Bali will be well received by our customers, not only in New Zealand and Indonesia, but also from our global network particularly from markets like the [United Kindom], Europe and the Middle East," said Emirates airline president Sir Tim Clark in a statement on Monday.

The aforementioned flight EK450 will leave Dubai at 6:55 a.m., arriving at Denpasar, Bali, at 8:20 p.m. local time and depart to Auckland, New Zealand, at 10 p.m. Meanwhile, flight EK451 will depart Auckland at 12:40 p.m., arriving in Denpasar at 5:55 p.m. local time and take off for Dubai at 7:50 p.m.

Besides Bali, Emirates also serves a Jakarta-Dubai route 18 times per week. (kes)
