Kompas.com reported that two hotels in Jakarta made it onto the list, namely Hotel Mulia Senayan at number 23 and Raffles Jakarta at number 47. Mulia was mentioned as existing as a business hotel that is also an enjoyable destination with quality food. Meanwhile, Raffles was said to have standout features such as works by prominent Indonesian artist Hendra Gunawan decorating its walls, and the Writers Bar that celebrates Jakarta’s art, literature and history.

Other hotels in the 50 best list include La Réserve Paris – Hotel and Spa in France, The Reverie Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, Royal Mansour in Marrakech, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, and Como The Treasury in Perth.

Another category in the Readers’ Choice Awards is World’s Best Resort, for which Indonesian resorts also made it onto the 50 best list. They are Viceroy Bali at number 22 and St. Regis Bali Resort at number 39.

Speaking of Asia, more hotels in Indonesia are listed in the award’s Best of Asia category. Alila Jakarta and Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta are at number 11 and 13, respectively, along with Hotel Mulia Senayan at number two and Raffles Jakarta at number four.
