Airline Citilink Indonesia has introduced its new flight attendant uniforms in its expansion into the ASEAN region.
“We consider the new uniforms very important in improving our performance as a premium low-cost carrier,” said Citilink Indonesia director Juliandra Nurtjahjo on Monday through a press release.
“We hope that the new uniforms and insurance speak of elegance and our commitment to giving the best,” he said.
Citilink also introduced hijab uniforms for all routes, previously reserved for Aceh and Saudi Arabia-bound flights, Antara reported.
Starting in May 2018, flight attendants who wear hijabs are allowed to incorporate them into their uniforms.

Juliandra stated that the new uniforms for attendants who want to wear hijabs have been evaluated and would not interfere with passenger service.
The uniforms have a Gurdo Aji pattern, meaning the child of a Garuda bird flying higher and farther.
Juliandra also introduced Super Shield insurance service in cooperation with pasarpolis.com, said to be the first business synergy that allows instant claims without hassle.
With Super Shield, Citilink Indonesia passengers will gain insurance benefits for issues such as flight delays, cancellations and lost baggage or documents.
“Through #KLAIMINSTAN (instant claim), passengers will receive benefits one day after the data is completed and proven valid,” said Cleosent Randing, PasarPolis Indonesia founder and CEO. (wng)
