ast Javanese Jatim Park Group has announced that it will take 40 percent off entrance fees during Ramadhan. Based in Batu, East Java, the group manages a number of theme parks, zoo and museum in East Java, a theme park in West Java, as well as hotels and resorts.
Jatim Park Group central marketing staff member Abdillah Adam said the 40 percent discount applied for all destinations under the group. “This is a Ramadhan special to attract visitors. Our traffic tends to be lower during the holy month,” Abdillah told Kompas.com at Eco Green Park in the city of Batu, Wednesday.
With the 40 percent discount, the entrance fee to Jatim Park 1, which is usually Rp 100,000 (less than US$ 8), becomes Rp 60,000. The discount also applies to other destinations, namely Jatim Park 2, Eco Green Park, Museum Angkut, Dino Park, Museum Tubuh, Batu Night Spectacular, Predator Fun Park, Funtech, The Legend Star and Museum Musik Dunia.

Would-be visitors may enjoy the discount from May 14 to June 10. Abdillah also said the destinations operating into the evening were expected to organize pre-breaking-of-the-fast events. The events will provide light meals to break the fast.
The entrance fee will return to normal over Idul Fitri break, which is considered as a high season. (mut)
