egoland Malaysia Resort is currently celebrating Lego Star Wars Days by hosting the Lego Star Wars Speed Build Challenge and other Star Wars-themed activities until May 13.

Held for the fourth time and said to be the largest of its kind in Asia, the challenge requires families to work together to build with the bricks to win the prize. The fastest builders will receive a Lego Star Wars 75192 Millennium Falcon worth S$1,209 (US$913) autographed by the original designer, Hans Burkhard Schlömer. The fastest builders of the day will also get limited edition Lego Star Wars products.

Additionally, families who participate in the challenge will also receive vouchers to purchase any Lego Star Wars play materials.

“We’re very happy to take on the challenge as a family. My son is so over the moon now,” said Lim Jun Jie, the winner of the challenge, in a press release. “As a parent, I think that activities like this help kids to learn and work as a team. Most importantly, the experience has brought us much closer together. This, in my opinion, is so much more valuable than any prizes.”

“Lego Star Wars Days is one of the annual events that we pay a great deal of attention to, as it ties every value that we believe in together,” said Legoland Malaysia Resort general manager Kurt Stocks. “From encouraging learning through play, to unleashing creativity and imagination, all have been well-captured in every activity we have here at the resort.”

Previously on April 28-29, Star Wars Costumed Fan Groups visited the resort donning their favorite costumes to celebrate Lego Star Wars Days during the Imperial March. Visitors who came to the resort on those days were able to take photos with them.

Free entry is available for children aged 3 to 11 years old donning full Star Wars costumes throughout Lego Star Wars Days. (wir/kes)
