ndonesia is set to promote its potential to the people of Laos by establishing a dedicated space named the Wonderful Indonesia Center in the country's capital, Vientiane.

"We want to spread [the knowledge] that Indonesia is not only Jakarta, Borobudur [Temple] or Bali," A. Firman Arif W. Soepalal from the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) said in Laos on Friday as quoted by kompas.com.

The necessary licenses to build such a cultural center has reportedly been processed.

Firman said the center is expected to, among other, display the local products of Indonesia.

"Hopefully we can launch it soon, so that some programs like learning the Indonesian language can be hosted there," he said. (kes)
