ow-cost carrier AirAsia officially moved on Wednesday its operations in Semarang, Central Java, to a newly opened terminal at Ahmad Yani International Airport.

The new terminal is 6 kilometers or a 30-minute drive by car from the old one.

According to a statement, the move would not affect AirAsia's flight schedule, although passengers departing from Semarang were advised to check-in online through its mobile app or website and arrive at the airport earlier than normal.

At the new location, the AK328 flight from Kuala Lumpur to Semarang departs at 6:55 a.m. and arrives at 8:30 a.m.; the AK329 flight from Semarang to Kuala Lumpur departs at 8:55 a.m. and arrives at 12:15 p.m.; the QZ663 flight from Singapore to Semarang departs at 2:25 p.m. and arrives at 3:40 p.m.; and the QZ662 flight from Semarang to Singapore departs at 4:05 p.m. and arrives at 7:10 p.m.

In its statement, the airline also advised passengers with special needs to book in advance through My Booking on its website or mobile app before informing attendants of their booking at check-in counters 1 and 2.
