Budi said the increase often forced travel agencies to deny requests by tourists to travel by sea due to a limited availability of boats.
The national park welcomed 45,630 people from January to April 2018, making it one of the top 10 destinations in the country. Foreign visitors comprised most of the visits at 27,550 people, while local tourists amounted to 18,080 people. The number is higher than the 38,147 tourists who visited in the same period last year.
