View all search resultsemmy and Nadia are twins from Indonesia who are currently studying at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Temmy, a fourth-year student studying applied biology and biotechnology, said Hong Kong was a fun and dynamic place to live.
“Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city with immense opportunities. With the integration of diversity and unique cultures, people from all around the world come to Hong Kong to study, to work and to live. That makes it special to me,” she added.
Unlike Temmy, Nadia, who is majoring in accounting and finance, decided to take a gap year for self-exploration prior to going to university. However, when she saw how much her sister was enjoying student life at PolyU, she became inspired.
PolyU is a very diverse and forward-looking university. It continuously encourages students to develop a global worldview by offering a range of opportunities available through university life, service-learning and work-integrated education programs, and she wanted to take part in that.
Growing up with an international background, she enjoys meeting both local and international students. Therefore, Hong Kong and PolyU can offer her a unique experience where she feels as if she is traveling all over the world via the people she meets.
