akartans love to eat – and their appetite isn’t slowing down. The city’s hotchpotch of cultures sets the stage for a similarly colorful food culture. From posh restaurants to comforting street foods, the city provides new dining out experiences to food connoisseurs every day.

The city’s icon of luxury hospitality, InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah, is no exception. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Sugar and Spice, is adding an ocean-flavored twist to its high-end buffet lunches and dinners.

Every Friday night, starting Jul.15, the restaurant is offering an elite selection of seafood delicacies from 6 to 10 p.m. Aside from Sugar & Spice’s famous seafood-on-ice corner becoming more expansive, its Japanese section now has fresh, premium cuts of sashimi and sushi lined up. Guests are free to indulge in other mouth-watering creations, including the rare sea urchin risotto, 3-way baked oysters, grilled Padang-style fish, Thai baked lobster and many more starting at Rp 498,000 (US$ 33.50 per person).
