he British School Jakarta (BSJ) partnered with Learn with Leaders (LWL) to host the Harvard Crimson Summer Leadership Academy on Aug. 15-19 at the BSJ Campus in South Tangerang. The offline academy, which was open to all students, saw more than 45 participants from BSJ and other high schools in Greater Jakarta.

During the five-day programme, students learned a systematic, comprehensive approach to solving real-world problems through fun and interactive lessons. The students were also mentored by members of the Harvard Crimson Business Board, with whom they communicated directly through email, both during and after the program.

The Harvard Crimson Summer Leadership Academy also connected students with faculty members and high-achieving students at Harvard University.

“We are especially thrilled to welcome the Harvard mentors to our campus. We hope our students will be inspired and encouraged by them, as many BSJ alumni over the years have received offers and been admitted to top universities in the world, including Harvard University,” said BSJ principal David Butcher.

The summer leadership academy was part of BSJ’s Holiday Camps, which offer a series of activities and classes for students aged 14-18. The programme is open to all students, whether they are enrolled at BSJ or not, and is facilitated by reputable subject matter experts and course providers.
