Second series of SIBS 2024 commences in Kuala Lumpur

F

ollowing the success of the first series in July, the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2024 has officially launched its long-awaited second series, running from Oct. 16 to 19 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

This series continues to position Selangor as a premier gateway to ASEAN, fostering regional partnerships, investments and economic growth. It is hoped that the event serves as a vital platform to promote cross-border trade, showcase innovations and drive business expansion across the region.

For the second series, visitors can expect more than 650 booths from various sectors and a turnout of 12,000 visitors from 18 countries. The first day will kick off the Medical Device Seminar (MDA), introduce the Selangor Life Sciences Convention (SLC) and run in parallel with the Selangor International Expo (F&B).

The second day will host the Selangor Life Sciences Synergy Conference (SLISS), followed by the Selangor-Korea Sustainable Futures Seminar. The evening of the second day will feature a special event called "In Conversation with YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari, Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor", a networking session offering insights into the inner workings of politics for young leaders.

A highlight of the third day will be a special cooking demonstration featuring D.Y.M.M. Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, alongside renowned chef YBhg. Dato’ Chef Ismail Ahmad.

Finally, the summit will conclude with the announcement of the participants in the Selangor

Accelerator Program (SAP), a flagship event under the Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention (SDEC).
