s a public body, the Coordinating Economic Ministry (Kemenko Perekonomian) continues to be strongly committed to transparency in public information. This aligns with the directions delivered by Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto, the holder of the highest position at Kemenko Perekonomian, who continues to advocate various efforts to enhance service quality in underpinning the sustainable openness of public information in the ministry environment.

This commitment to public openness and transparency, which is continually upheld by Kemenko Perekonomian’s Documentation and Information Management Office (PPID) in carrying out good governance, has led to Kemenko Perekonimian achieving many accolades.

In 2023, Kemenko Perekonomian PPID was named as an Informative Public Body in the ministry category for the fourth consecutive year since 2020.

“I view the openness of public information as an essential element in realizing the government’s good governance and, at the same time, one of the determining factors in the success of bureaucratic reform programs. Apart from that, I also have a conviction that reform is a way to nurse democracy, which at the end of the day, should improve public prosperity,” said Vice President Ma’ruf Amin in a speech during the Public Information Openness Award 2023 presentation event at the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Dec. 19.

Based on the monitoring and evaluation results regarding the openness of information by public bodies conducted by the Central Information Commission in 2023, more than 139 public bodies were recorded as achieving the status of Informative Public Body, some 38 percent of the 369 participating public bodies.

“Leaders and all ranks at Kemenko will, surely, continue to be fully committed to supporting the openness of public information and always provide prime services for all layers of society by keeping an eye on every dynamic and rising challenge,” said Kemenko Perekonomian secretary Susiwijono Moegiarso, who is also Superior Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID).

Susiwijono further said that Kemenko Perekonomian PPID never stopped creating innovations and strategies to provide prime services for the Indonesian people. In this case Kemenko Perekonomian PPID is always committed to providing inclusive services, including for vulnerable groups by continually striving to improve service-supporting facilities and infrastructure.

As part of the endeavors to provide a prime service for users, Kemenko Perekonomian PPID has synchronized and harmonized service standards in compliance with the regulations set by the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry. Kemenko Perekonomian PPID has also actively been the target of assessment and received recommendations for synchronization and service standard harmonization, which hopefully will enable it to provide an even better public service in the future.

“In receiving the accolade of Informative Public Body for four consecutive years, we are, certainly grateful. This has increasingly affirmed our determination and commitment to always provide the best performance for every service user and all people, including through various innovations and strategies that we have prepared,” said Convention and Information and Communication Bureau head Haryo Limanseto, the representative of Kemenko Perekonomian Main PPID.
