ERANG (19/12) – With Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 (Nataru) around the corner, ASTRA Infra is dedicated to providing an exceptional service for users of toll roads. This commitment was underscored during the Hybrid Media Gathering and Kick-Off of ASTRA Infra Group's Nataru Initiative held at the Ciujung Banten management office on the Tangerang-Merak toll road.
During this event, Firman Yosafat Siregar, ASTRA Infra Group CEO, reiterated the company's preparedness for this year's Nataru, which is expected to see a significant surge compared with the previous year. He highlighted ASTRA Infra's extensive groundwork in infrastructure and services, emphasizing ongoing collaboration with key stakeholders such as the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Public Works and Housing and The National Police Traffic Corps. The overarching goal is to provide toll road users with a superior service. Through the Nataru Ceria campaign, the aim is to ensure a delightful, secure and comfortable holiday travel experience.
Under the Nataru Ceria campaign, ASTRA Infra Group COO Billy Perkasa Kadar detailed the array of preparations made for the 2023 Nataru season. Initiatives include infrastructure expansion, such as widening the third lane on the Tangerang-Merak toll road section from Cikande to Serang Timur (KM 51 to KM 72), and on the Cikopo-Palimanan section (KM 72 to KM 85). Additionally, rest areas at strategic points along the route toward Jakarta and Cirebon, at KM 86, KM 101, KM 102 and KM 130, were completed by November to ensure road suitability through improved markings and trimming.
To facilitate smooth traffic flow and anticipate increased vehicle movement, ASTRA Infra has readied various facilities such as tandem transaction stations, mobile readers and digital receipts. Collaboration with law enforcement has been established to manage traffic, especially at congestion-prone points, with joint efforts to anticipate potential congestion at KM 152, the meeting point between the Cisumdawu and Cipali toll roads.
In supporting seamless traffic flow through Merak Port, ASTRA Infra have collaborated with the government and ASDP to designate rest areas at KM 43 and KM 68 as buffer zones in case of delays. Service posts at these rest areas aim to educate ferry users about the Ferizy app for a smoother ferry service within a 4.71-kilometer radius of the port's midpoint.
The Nataru Ceria campaign also ensures a pleasant holiday travel experience at rest areas, equipped with diverse services like parking, commercial areas, clean restrooms, disability-friendly facilities, worship amenities, ATMs, modular gas stations and public electric vehicle charging stations across eight rest areas. Furthermore, Daihatsu Emergency Posts have been set up at Resta Pendopo KM 456 on the Semarang-Solo toll road from Dec. 22 to 31.
Aside from facility preparations, management has arranged traffic engineering for comfort at rest areas and encourages visitors to utilize their time wisely while maintaining cleanliness.
In a bid to ensure safety during Nataru, ASTRA Infra has mobilized over 1,300 task force units and ensured the functionality of safety facilities like warning lights and closed-circuit television along its toll roads.
Through its eight Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT), ASTRA Infra advises road users to prepare wisely for the holiday travel, emphasizing vehicle and health readiness, adherence to traffic regulations and anticipation of adverse weather during the Nataru period.
ASTRA Infra aims to contribute positively to the smooth mobility of the community during this year's Nataru through collaborative efforts, supporting the sustainable development of toll road infrastructure in Indonesia.
