T GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk, Indonesia’s largest digital ecosystem, has officially launched the Associate Product Manager (APM) Bootcamp Program, reinforcing the company’s commitment to fostering the continuous growth of Indonesia's tech talent. This comprehensive on-the-job training initiative is the first of its kind in Indonesia, featuring a world-class curriculum designed to cultivate Indonesia’s next generation of tech leaders.
“The technology industry is one of the key drivers of Indonesia’s digital economic growth. We believe that harnessing technology is an effective means to create a positive social impact. That is why we launched the GoTo APM Bootcamp - to nurture local tech talent, placing them at the heart of our innovations and leading projects that can enhance millions of lives,” said Gojek SVP of product and GoTo APM Bootcamp Program Champion Vikrama Dhiman.
Nearly 200 graduates from Indonesia’s leading universities, including the University of Indonesia, Institute of Technology Bandung and Gadjah Mada University participated in the GoTo APM Bootcamp’s selection process, before 10 shortlisted applicants were onboarded into the program. The final 10 participants will be employed full-time at Gojek, GoTo’s on-demand services unit.
The GoTo APM Bootcamp is an 18-month program that encompasses a blend of training, coaching and mentorship as participants learn their roles as full-time product managers within GoTo. They will work with cross-functional teams to launch impactful projects across various sectors including transportation, food and logistics, as well as in various disciplines such as product development, UI/UX design, research and engineering and data fields.
“This program offers a unique experience that blends innovation, strategic thinking, problem solving, creativity, collaboration, and project management skills. I hope the GoTo APM Bootcamp Program will ignite the passion of these future tech leaders to build unique products for Indonesia and continue striving for the nation’s advancement,” said Vikrama.
GoTo has played an active role in driving Indonesia’s digital transformation. According to research by LPEM UI, between 2018 and 2023, the presence of GoTo at the city/regency level led to a 2.2–3.1 percent increase in digitally skilled workers on average. In regions outside Java and Bali, GoTo's presence correlates with 3.3-4.25 percent rise in digital talent during the same period.
