View all search resultsoFood officially released Kilas Balik 2025 (GoFood 2025 Recap), a year-end roundup that captures how Indonesians ate, snacked and sipped their way through 2025. The report captured tasty snapshots of Indonesia customers' culinary preferences - comfort food and familiar flavors remain the go-tos, but drinks are where people are keen to explore, experiment and follow the latest trends.
Here are some of the most flavorful highlights from the GoFood’s 2025 recap:
Some things never change - One of the key findings shows that chicken and duck-based dishes once again led the list of best-selling menu items, reflecting consumers’ continued preference for familiar and filling meals for daily consumption.
If 2025 had a color, it would be green. Thanks to endless matcha videos and cafe-inspired content online, matcha Latte broke into the top three most-ordered beverages category for the first time. A reminder that what’s trending on your feed often ends up trending in your cup.
Indonesians proved that nothing beats good and crunchy dishes. Shrimp-based fried snacks, lumpia and noodles claimed the top snack spots - a perfect consolation for office breaks, binge watching or late-night cravings.
One of the interesting findings: GoFood now hosts over 13 million menu items from merchants nationwide. To scroll through every single one assuming you eat one item per day? You’d need roughly 35,000 years. Yes—finding “something new to try” is basically guaranteed.
Gojek marketing head Marsela Renata said that the findings reflect the continuous evolution of culinary trends in Indonesia.
“Culinary trends are always moving - there are staples people never let go of, but trends and twists keep the landscape exciting. Take chicken dishes, for example. They remain top favorites because of the highly adaptable nature - from penyet and geprek styles to mozzarella-topped, garlic friend, coriander seasoned. You name it, and there will always be a new take on this kind of cuisine,” she said.
Throughout 2025, GoFood also rolled out several innovations designed to elevate the customer experience. These include Healthy Menu Curation, which recommends dishes along with calorie information tailored to users’ dietary goals. Group Meal Curation, which helps users discover the best menus for sharing moments with friends, family or colleagues. GoFood Catering expands the platform’s utility beyond daily meals by enabling customers to find customizable catering packages for various needs and occasions with flexible durations.
“These innovations reaffirm GoFood’s role as a trusted daily companion for Indonesians. As demand for convenience continues to grow in a fast-paced lifestyle, we’re committed to creating experiences that stay enjoyable, hassle-free and relevant,” Marsela added.
To embrace the year-end holiday season, GoFood has also reintroduced its “Kirim Makanan” (Food gifting) feature, offering a practical way for users to send warmth to loved ones. With just a click, customers can send their favorite meals—even to those located in different cities. To make it even more delightful, GoFood’s affordable delivery fees continue to make the experience more enjoyable and accessible to all.
