tate-owned oil and gas company Pertamina and private fuel retailers BP-AKR and Vivo Energy Indonesia have raised prices for various nonsubsidized fuels at all gas stations, effective May 4.
The adjustment applies to high-octane gasoline and diesel, while subsidized fuel types and RON 92 remain unchanged.
Previously, the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry conveyed the government’s intention to maintain subsidized fuel prices until the end of the year, but acknowledged that a second phase of price hikes for nonsubsidized fuels may be necessary if global crude and gas prices remain high.
In Jakarta, RON 98-Pertamax Turbo rises to Rp 19,900 (US$1.14) per liter from the previous Rp 19,400 per liter.
Dexlite has been increased to Rp 26,000 per liter from Rp 23,600, while Pertamina Dex has been raised to Rp 27,900 per liter from Rp 23,900.
Meanwhile, RON 92-Pertamax, RON 95-Pertamax Green 95, RON-90 Pertalite and subsidized diesel have seen no price changes.
