The World Health Organization (WHO) and Indonesia’s JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center entered into an agreement for a long-term strategic partnership on May 30.
he World Health Organization (WHO) and Indonesia’s JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center have entered into an agreement for a long-term strategic partnership starting May 30. The United Nations agency appointed the famed hotel to be its WHO business continuity and contingency plan partner in Jakarta.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two agrees on various issues in the event of a natural or catastrophic disaster. The agreement includes a strategic initiative in the case of emergency as defined in the WHO business continuity plan for WHO Indonesia’s personnel, as well as an alternate working space in the case of emergency as defined in the business continuity plan for WHO Indonesia's essential core staff.
“It gives us great pleasure to be appointed by the world’s leading organization dedicated to the well-being of all people to give everyone, everywhere an equal chance to live healthy and productive lives,” JS Luwansa’s general manager Richard Mau said in a press release.
Located in the business district of Kuningan, JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center has positioned itself as a place for tourists looking for a luxurious stay as well as travelers looking to conduct business meetings in the city. It is only two kilometers away from over 50 embassies, including Singapore, Turkey, Russia and China among other embassies. Jakarta’s biggest shopping malls and entertainment spots are also close by.
The hotel provides first-class accommodation with 244 hotel rooms. Its meeting and convention center facilities, with big ballrooms and venues, are well-known as the go-to place for business gatherings and social events in Kuningan, Jakarta.
JS Luwansa is also the official hotel partner of Jakarta E-Prix 2022, when the capital will serve as the Formula E World Championship stage for the first time ever on June 4.
