n a celebration that does not seem to be ending anytime soon, Morula IVF Jakarta held a hybrid seminar at their auditorium on Saturday (25/06) about the innovative adjuvant reproductive therapy, for those who have not been successful in their IVF treatments. The latest in a string of events to commemorate the clinic’s 24th anniversary, Morula is also soft-launching their new VIP executive lounge in the Jakarta branch.

The day started with a hybrid seminar at the Rizal Sini auditorium at the clinic, garnering over 100 viewers in person and online to hear presentations prepared by DR. dr. Ivan Rizal Sini, GDRM, MMIS, FRANZCOG, SpOG,and DR. dr. Arie A. Polim, DMAS, MSc, SpOG (K) FER. Dr. Ivan is the CEO of Morula Indonesia.

The seminar was entitled, “Effectiveness of Adjuvant Therapy in IVF Failure with Poor Responder & Patients”. dr. Ivan talked about the risk and difficulties of IVF treatment surrounding prospective mothers, while dr. Arie explained to attendees the adjuvant treatment itself.

“Adjuvant reproductive therapy is a treatment that is intended to improve -- not to replace the IVF process, but to improve -- for certain groups of the population: groups of women who are diagnosed with poor response from their previous IVF cycle, low egg reserves and also women who are obviously in an advanced age,” clarified dr. Ivan at the lounge.

dr. Ivan further explained that adjuvant therapy has been recommended to patients who are having difficulties, which usually boils down to the age of a woman. Stating that it is quite controversial to some extent, the therapy combines hormonal treatment, antioxidant therapy, acupuncture and doctor nutritionist consultation, among other therapies.

“So, we are trying to educate the patients properly to make sure that they fully understood that IVF is obviously a very, as I have said, very stressful, in the beginning, and complicated process; but at the end of the day, they want to find solutions. And adjuvant reproductive therapy is one of the solutions,” he added.

Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions to both of the doctors during the seminar before dr. Faizal Zuchri, operational manager of Morula IVF Jakarta, took the stage to give more information about the promotional packages. They have two: the basic covers oral DHEA, zinc, coenzyme and injections of growth hormones and multivitamin at the low price of Rp 13,000,000 (US$878);  the basic-plus package offers the basic with an additional nutritionist consultation and acupuncture treatment for Rp 18,150,000. Both are discounts of 14 percent and 18 percent respectively from the normal prices. And also, promo Pratelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Endometrium offers three times treatment for Rp 10,000,000,-.

Meanwhile, the soft launching of the VIP executive lounge just two floors below shows an expansive room, filled with comfortable sofas and surrounded by glass windows. dr. Ivan said that the idea for this lounge came from listening to their clients, who explained that they are exhausted by the fertility treatment, and the fact that most are quite busy as it is. The new innovation is meant to introduce a more seamless and comfortable waiting area, persononalized services, entertainment on the table, complete with food and beverages.

“This executive lounge is actually created to cater to their needs, and to make sure that they experience the least inconvenience that they will encounter throughout the process,” said dr. Ivan about the more intimate setting. He added, “Now, this obviously is one part of what we are trying to improve this year. This is part of the 24th anniversary gift to our customers. We will have some other products later on this year that we are planning to publish. However, this will be the start.”

dr. Ivan concluded, saying that patients in Morula IVF Surabaya can expect a similar lounge in about three months, as well as those who are clients of the Bali branch.

“[The VIP Executive lounge] is very comforting to see. All the services are good, the facilities are also acceptable -- and the most important thing, the patients are in good hands,” said Liakita, a Morula client. She first came to Morula after hearing success stories from her friends and a couple of news articles. Asked why she came back, she answered, “The most important thing is the comfort, the cleanliness; for patients who really want a child, to have a baby, chances are they can afford this and it’s a good gamble.”
