umans have always been captivated by the mysteries underwater, a fascination reflected in numerous books and films that attempt to explore the depths we can hardly fathom.

Now, enthusiasts of the sea can indulge their imagination at Taman Safari Bali. On Dec. 20, the wildlife park and conservation center in Serongga, Gianyar regency, Bali, unveiled its immersive underwater theatrical dining venue, Varuna.

The Jakarta Post, along with select media in Indonesia, was invited to an exclusive sneak peek of the inaugural show, The Prince of the Sea, on Dec. 19.

"Bali is celebrated for its captivating underwater beauty," Alexander “Alex” Zulkarnain, vice president of media, event and digital of Taman Safari Indonesia, said.
