Jakarta and New York, while half a world apart, still share a relentless drive for improvement and a commitment to staying ahead in this fast-paced world. And now Jakartans have a place to wind down at The Coach Coffee Shop and Restaurant with a New York-inspired ambiance.
hopping and dining have long been intertwined with urban life, with the thrill of discovering a new item paired with the enjoyment of a fine meal. This synergy has fueled a recent trend that merges luxury fashion with culinary experiences.
Examples include Gucci Osteria, known for its contemporary Italian cuisine; Monsieur Dior, which celebrates French culinary arts; and Petrossian at Tiffany, renowned for its caviar-centric gourmet offerings.
Joining this trend, the American luxury brand Coach opened its first-ever coffee shop and restaurant within its Grand Indonesia retail store in Jakarta in February.
“We want to provide an immersive experience for Indonesia’s Coach community that integrates shopping and dining,” Bianca Febriani, marketing general manager at Kanmo Group – which oversees Coach in Indonesia – told reporters during a media gathering on July 25.
But why did Coach choose Jakarta for its first dining venture?
“Indonesia is a key market in Southeast Asia, with strong sales and excellent growth,” Kanmo Group marketing manager Melita Herman said.
“Coach Global sees promising potential here.
