Celebrating Eid, InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah Offers Hampers Promotions

A

s we near the end of Ramadan, The InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah has prepared an extensive range of elite treats and offers for guests to celebrate Idul Fitri.

This year, The InterContinental is partnering with renowned Indonesian designers Rinaldy Yunardi and Nefianto Setiono to transform the aesthetics of the hotel attuned to the holiday season and to present new premium products for its guests.

Altering the lobby of the hotel, which includes its boutique and cakeshop, social event extraordinaire and Nefi Decor founder Nefianto Setiono will be adorning the scene with serene decorations appropriately themed for Idul Fitri.

Meanwhile, world class fashion designer Rinaldy Yunardi, whose pieces have been worn by international stars such as Madonna, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj to name a few, will be releasing a limited-edition luxury gift, his Royale Hamper, exclusively for The InterContinental during this period.

His third and final hamper design for the InterContinental, the Royale Hamper, is inspired by Haryanto “Bletuk” Gunawan’s abstract painting, “Stand By Me” which is prominently displayed in the hotel’s lobby. The crown jewel of this hamper however, is the specially designed, The Heart brooch. Adorned with ubiquitous emerald stones, this brooch is inspired by the iconic weaved palm leaves that are typically used to wrap ketupat, a staple in Indonesian cuisine during Eid.

Priced at Rp 6,988,000 (US$470), the Royale Hamper includes a variety of delicious premium treats such as chocolate dipped medjol dates, and a selection of artisanal cakes alongside The Heart brooch. Aside from the Royale Hamper, The InterContinental is also offering other hamper variants at different price points. All hamper variants however contain the same roster of sweet treats, curated by pastry expert Kim Pangestu and the hotel’s award-winning food and beverages team.

An author of multiple cookbooks on Indonesian cuisine and a host of a popular cooking show, his multidimensional passion is reflected in his gastronomical creations.

Indulge yourself in the flavors of crispy soft-shell crab bathed in traditional shrimp bisque, or perhaps make yourself at home in the warm spices of rawon soup where you can enjoy the pillow-soft brisket meat.

All the rest shall be revealed at the table, where the innovative dishes of chef Norman will become the talk of the town.

Developing The InterContinental’s Sugar & Spice special iftar buffet, for chef Norman it all came down to exploring Indonesia's diverse culinary culture. It is no wonder that he works with a vision to color Ramadan and Idul Fitri at The InterContinental with top notch culinary offerings.

Going beyond the country’s borders, if you have a penchant for authentic Japanese cuisine, chef Hidemaro Hodaka is your man.

As the hotel’s newly appointed teppanyaki master, chef Hidemaro, found in the hotels Shio restaurant, teleports guests to Japan with his authentic teppanyaki set menu to fulfill all their savory cravings.
