his year, the instant noodles division of PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur (ICPBP) celebrated Idul Fitri with a mass homecoming for around 10,800 Indomie food stall (Warmindo) entrepreneurs. Preparing 191 buses to accommodate their travel, the mass homecoming left from 36 departure points spread throughout Greater Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta and Malang. From April 15-19, the manpower minister joined the celebration at the Bekasi Masjid Islamic Center courtyard departure point to send off the entrepreneurs on their journey home to see their families and celebrate Idul Fitri.
Additionally, departures from Bekasi Masjid Islamic Center were joined by the director general of industrial relations development and social security at the Manpower Ministry, Warmindo entrepreneurs and the director of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur, Suzi Indrian, alongside employees of Indofood Group.
During the event Suzi stated “Every year nearing Idul Fitri, we hold our homecoming activity along with Warmindo entrepreneurs, an annual celebration since 1994. This mass homecoming is our form of appreciation toward our partners who have been working hard to provide the best service to customers that enjoy a serving of Indomie in a Warmindo. During the pandemic, homecoming activities had to be stopped, but this year we are once again inviting all our partners to celebrate together. With the theme of ‘The Most Anticipated Homecoming, Live Togetherness Again’, we hope that this activity will be a joyful moment for our Warmindo partners and their families.”
“We hope that Indomie and Warmindo can build determination in development so that we can achieve success together. We wish that with this celebration Warmindo entrepreneurs will be more inspired to do their best for their customers and promote innovation and creativity. This aligns with ICBP’s core values, which is to always innovate in a variety of products, like offering Indomie in a range of flavor variants.”
One of the homeward–bound travelers, Obar, a Sobar Warmindo owner who has been a partner for over 22 years with a variety of unique creations like his Indomie tek-tek, said “After a few years not participating in the homecoming, I am very grateful and happy that I can once again celebrate Idul Fitri this year alongside other Warmindo entrepreneurs. Hopefully this program can continue and I want to extend my gratitude to Indomie for always paying attention and providing support to us Warmindo entrepreneurs.”
