PNM gifts sacrificial animals nationwide for Idul Adha

P

T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) distributed sacrificial animals at various points across Indonesia to help local communities celebrate Idul Adha 1444 H, or the Day of Sacrifice, which fell on June 29 this year.

The #PNMBerkurban campaign was an expression of gratitude from the company, which has been trusted for 24 years as a nonbank financial institution to empower ultra-micro businesses. This year’s Idul Adha also served as an occasion for PNM to spread the spirit of sharing in the densely populated areas where PNM Mekaar customers operate.

One cow per PNM Mekaar unit was distributed from the PNM Head Office to communities around PNM branch offices, and the meat was shared with the people who live in those communities, especially the poor.

The points of distribution for the sacrificial animals under the #PNMBerkurban campaign included the Mekaar units of Pidie regency in Aceh, Banyumas regency in Central Java, Musi Rawas regency in South Sumatra, East Lombok regency in West Nusa Tenggara, Jeneponto regency in South Sulawesi and Hulu Sungai Selatan regency in South Kalimantan.

PNM President Director Arief Mulyadi expressed his gratitude to customers of PNM Mekaar for trusting the company to provide ultra-micro business entrepreneurs with assistance and women’s empowerment programs in running their businesses.

Arief said that, in addition to being a form of charity for the less fortunate, the distribution of sacrificial animals was also an expression of gratitude that PNM had grown to reach its 24th year of operation and had been able to empower a total of 14.6 million Mekaar customers nationwide during the January-May 2023 period alone.

"I hope the kurban from PNM can be a reminder for all of us, especially PNM staff, to continue to care for and pay attention to our surroundings. Interpret Idul Adha as a moment to share and believe that other people also deserve some of the fortune we have," he said.

Arief also called on the Mekaar units serving as kurban distribution points to optimize their distribution of sacrificial meat to female entrepreneurs of ultra-micro businesses that were Mekaar PNM customers.

He emphasized his belief that sowing good things will also lead to reaping good things. "Good deeds will definitely be rewarded, not only for the company but also for employees who help take care of PNM Mekaar customers," Arief said.
