A

s part of its efforts to support innovation for easy and smooth access to financial transactions for ultra-micro businesses, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) continues to bring digital finance closer to its customers in line with Holding Ultra Mikro’s commitment to the digital transformation of conventional transactions.

1,700 PNM Mekaar customers simultaneously received digital financial literacy training and non-cash disbursement at 12 Kampung Madani points across Indonesia on Wednesday.

These include Kapung Madani Negeri Katon village, Lampung; Kampung Madani Cinta Rakyat village, Kabanjahe; Kampung Madani Waru village, Balikpapan; Kampung Madani Koronua village, Kendari, Kampung Madani Tambalang village, Blitar; Kampung Madani Kopeng village, Semarang; Kampung Madani Guntur village, Wonogiri; Kampung Madani Terusan, Pontianak; Kampung Madani Cibodas, Cimahi; Kampung Madani Tumpuk Village, Pacitan; Kampung Madani Papayan village, Tasikmalaya; and Kampung Madani Kwala Besar village, Medan.

Apart from facilitating customer business operations, digital finances can also help make business transactions safer. This activity begins with education, and continues with the implementation of non-cash disbursements.

PNM president director Arief Mulyadi is optimistic that Mekaar customers assisted by PNM will be able to carry out financial transactions digitally, which were previously done conventionally.

"We continue to push the cashless ecosystem to encourage customers to upgrade. Of course, it must start with the customers’ own understanding on what digital finance is and continuing with inclusion," he said.

Arief encouraged PNM Mekaar customers who had attended training to invite and not hesitate to teach others.

"The ladies love to chat, so after the training, don't hesitate to teach other customers so they can move forward together," he added.

Arief also believes that economic and social values will be formed with the expansion of group leaders’ functions. On the same occasion, in addition to training, the head of the PNM Mekaar customer group was also appointed as a BRILink Mekaar agent. Group members can later make transactions such as credit purchases, withdrawals and other financial transactions through their respective group heads.
