P

T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) has provided a study tour to the leaders of Mekaar groups. This three-day tour, held from May 6-8, sent 16 participants to Semarang, Central Java, to learn about developing traditional herbal medicine businesses.

PNM Mekaar not only provides financial capital but also intellectual and social capital to its clients. This initiative aims to elevate their business standards. PNM Mekaar clients benefit from continuous business mentoring alongside financial support.

Arief Mulyadi, director of PNM, emphasized that PNM offers various rewards, including both domestic and international study tours.

“A few months ago, we sent our clients to Thailand to broaden their global perspective. This time, we selected 16 top group leaders to learn about traditional herbal medicine in Semarang,” said Arief.

Arief further explained that this study tour was beneficial for motivating the group leaders, who can then share their knowledge with other members in their groups.

“Additionally, Mekaar clients gain insights into herbal medicine business opportunities in their regions. They learn directly from herbal medicine entrepreneurs, gaining practical experience rather than just theoretical knowledge. This study tour helps clients build relationships and expand their networks with fellow clients and PNM staff,” Arief added.

The selected group leaders for this study tour were high achievers. “They are top group leaders with over 90 percent attendance at PKM sessions and excellent loan repayment records,” said Arief.

PNM Mekaar offers various rewards to its best clients, including pilgrimages to Mecca for Muslims and trips to the Vatican and Jerusalem for Christians.

“This is our way of providing three types of capital, financial, intellectual, and social, to our clients, helping their businesses grow and improving their overall well-being. The advantage of being a PNM Mekaar client is receiving continuous business mentoring along with financial support,” concluded Arief.
