T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) continues to support its clients by offering training aimed at helping the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). From May 20-22, 2024, 14 top PNM Mekaar clients from various regions participated in a benchmarking activity at the Dendeng Maja Production House in Aceh to enhance their education and knowledge in the field of dendeng (dried meat) processing.
During the educational and practical sessions, clients were instructed by M. Husni, the owner, on the types and quality of good meat. They learned how to maintain cleanliness and hygiene during meat processing. Participants were also trained in meat cutting techniques, seasoning and marinating. An important part of the training involved the manual drying process using sunlight, optimal drying temperatures, product packaging and proper storage methods.
PNM corporate secretary L. Dodot Patria Ary said the benchmarking program was an intellectual provision provided by PNM. As a non-bank financial company, PNM offers three types of capital: financial, intellectual and social. "We don't just provide funds and leave our clients; we support them until they advance," he explained.
The benchmarking also aims to help PNM clients build new relationships and gain new knowledge about dendeng processing. The goal is to motivate participants to develop their businesses to a higher level.
"The more knowledge PNM provides, the greater the potential for clients' businesses to grow, ultimately improving the welfare of ultra-micro business actors from underprivileged families," he added.
Through its business capacity development (PKU) program with the theme #CariTauLangkahBaru (Find out the next steps), PNM has been conducting benchmarking activities since 2022, benefiting over 200 clients with special training in their respective business sectors.
Ayu Putri Ekawati, a PNM group leader from the Tangerang branch, in Banten, expressed her gratitude, "Thank you to PNM for providing so much knowledge about dendeng processing. Hopefully, having participated in this benchmarking activity will elevate my business and bring new innovations. Let's all stay motivated and regularly attend Weekly Group Meetings (PKM) to gain more knowledge for developing our businesses."
PNM will continue to encourage clients to acquire new knowledge for business development in their respective sectors through benchmarking activities. The goal is for clients to grow their businesses differently from conventional empowerment methods.
PNM is an organization providing financing and assistance to underprivileged women in Indonesia through ultra-micro businesses. PNM not only provides business capital but also various training programs to improve product quality. Currently, PNM serves 15.2 million clients across Indonesia.
