T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles through collaboration with PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia (BRINS). This partnership materialized in the event titled Kolaborasi Penanaman Pohon dan Literasi Asuransi BRINS - PNM 2025, held in Central Bangka, Bangka Belitung, on Feb. 11.
As part of its sustainability efforts, the event featured two key initiatives: the planting of 1,000 tree seedlings and insurance literacy education for PNM Mekaar customers. The tree seedlings, consisting of eucalyptus and cashew trees, not only contribute to environmental preservation but also offer economic value to the local community. This initiative was supported by the Bangka Belitung Environmental and Forestry Agency and took place at the governor's office complex in Bangka Belitung.
In addition to the greening effort, PNM and BRINS also provided education to PNM Mekaar customers about the importance of business protection through insurance. The goal of this educational session was to raise awareness among customers about safeguarding their businesses from various risks, ensuring the sustainability of their operations and enhancing their financial resilience.
This event serves as a tangible demonstration of PNM's commitment to sustainable development and improving the welfare of Mekaar customers in Bangka Belitung. Through synergy in environmental action and financial literacy, the program aims to inspire Mekaar customers to become more environmentally conscious while also gaining a better understanding of the importance of insurance in financial management.
Representatives from PNM and BRINS, along with the acting secretary of Bangka Belitung province, attended the event. The head of PNM Bangka Belitung emphasized that this collaboration had a positive impact on urban environments, reducing air pollution and raising awareness among Mekaar customers about the importance of business protection through insurance. Meanwhile, a representative from BRINS highlighted that this activity not only supported environmental sustainability but also promoted financial inclusion and enhanced insurance literacy among ultra-micro and micro-business owners.
Through this initiative, PNM reaffirms its active role in supporting ESG principles, building a greener future and strengthening the economic resilience of its customers through education and financial protection.
