he highly anticipated BSI International Expo 2024 has finally arrived, bringing together over 270 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) tenants in a grand showcase of innovation and collaboration. This year's expo highlights the diversity and creativity of MSMEs and features the participation of business experts from more than a dozen countries, fostering a sustainable ecosystem in the halal business based on sharia principles.

The opening ceremony, a significant moment in the BSI International Expo, was graced by the esteemed presence of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. His attendance underscored the government's support and recognition of the event. Insightful speeches from Deputy State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Kartika Wirjoatmodjo and President Director of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) Hery Gunardi further enriched the ceremony. The event, attended by numerous public figures and loyal BSI customers, was a testament to the expo's significance and impact.

Following the ceremonial kickoff, the agenda seamlessly transitioned into an interactive international seminar. Led by the Deputy Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar from Cairo, Egypt, the seminar was themed “Collaborative Framework for a Holistic Islamic Ecosystem”. It aimed to foster robust networks and communities among various stakeholders in the Islamic ecosystem, covering social, economic, educational and cultural dimensions. The seminar's interactive format encouraged active participation and engagement, further enhancing the collaborative spirit of the event.

The event was a vibrant tapestry of activities and was met with enthusiastic applause from attendees. BSI captivated the audience with a fashion and trunk show featuring renowned Indonesian model Paula Verhoeven paired with an enchanting performance by the talented Putri Ariani. Adding to the richness of the program, the popular millennial imam Ustadz Hanan Attaki conducted a study session, offering profound insight and spiritual guidance.

In addition to exhibitions and seminars, the BSI International Expo 2024 also hosted impactful business matching sessions. These sessions provided a platform for MSME players to connect with potential international buyers, opening doors to new opportunities in the global market. This initiative, a key part of the event, was designed to bridge gaps and facilitate international business connections, supporting the aspirations of Indonesian entrepreneurs to reach global audiences and expand their businesses.

The BSI International Expo stands as a beacon of opportunity and growth, reflecting BSI's unwavering commitment to nurturing the business ecosystem in Indonesia. BSI is positioning Indonesia as a leading global hub for halal business by creating direct connections between local entrepreneurs and international participants. This event showcases the dynamic potential of Indonesian MSMEs and reinforces the country's role in the global economic landscape.
