P

ertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut ensures that 3-kilogram liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) canisters are filled according to the appropriate standards. Inspections were carried out on the canisters at the LPG Bulk Filling and Transport Station (SPPBE) in Riau Province on June 23.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut Communication, Relations and CSR Area Manager Susanto August Satria said that the inspections are routinely carried out to directly monitor the accuracy of the quality and quantity of the 3 Kg LPG canisters distributed to the public.

"Inspections were carried out yesterday at the SPPBE Siak Bina Sejahtera, and today the Riau Retail Area Sales Team continues to check them at SPPBE Siak Jaya Abadi, SPPBE Mas Artha Sarana and SPPBE Awal Bros Multi Karya. The check is carried out by checking the weight of the canister to see whether it meets the established standards. Checks were also carried out on the SPPBE Unit Filling Machine (UFM), ensuring that the UFM settings correspond to the 3 kg quota for the contents," Satria said on June 23.

Satria added that the check involved 84 LPG cylinders. The check’s results showed that the sample percentage complied with the provisions and the weight of the canisters complied with the standard.

"Checks were done at the location by taking samples from 84 cylinders at each SPPBE filling line. All the canisters were still at a normal mass of around 8 kg based on checks at those four SPPBEs, consisting of 5 kg of canister weight and 3 kg of LPG weight. Furthermore, the canisters then exited the SPPBE and were distributed by the agent to the base and then to consumers," Satria said.
